

Memory Stuart Hutson passed away at the age of 90 on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Comperes Nursing Home in Jackson, MS. Ms. Hutson was born in Birmingham, AL. She graduated from Blue Ridge High School in Blue Ridge, GA. After serving one year in the Women's Army Corp (WAC), during World War II, she was transferred to the Manhattan Project, in Oak Ridge, TN, where she helped to build the Atomic Bomb. She met and married Thomas (Bud) Hutson of Jackson, MS. They had four children. Mr. Hutson passed away in 1976.
In 1974 Ms. Hutson followed her dream of becoming a nurse and graduated from Gilfoy School of Nursing in 1976 as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked for St. Dominic Hospital as an orthopedic nurse until her retirement in March of 1988. She was a resident of Pearl, MS. Ms. Hutson is survived by her children, Tim (Cindy) Hutson of Madison, Cheryl (Joel) McNinch of Brandon, Mike (Robin) Hutson and Pat (Debbie) Hutson both of Canton, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 25 at 1:00 pm at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home on High Street in Jackson. A memorial service will follow in the Chapel at 2:00 pm. The Reverend Brandon Bates, of Brandon, will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to PAX Hospice, Ridgeland, MS (paxhospice.com) or The Diabetes Foundation of Miss. (msdiabetes.org).
