My Aunt Michelle was one of the sweetest souls. Although I lived two hours away growing up, I have so many sweet memories from family holidays and when I would visit for weeks at a time during the summers or Christmas break. My earliest memories of her are when we would visit her at K-Mart, and she would sneak up behind us and pinch our behinds. She had a great sense of humor and was always smiling. She was always extremely thoughtful and would make goody bags with our favorite snacks and would always ask about my life. She would even ask how my in-laws were doing once I got married. Aunt Michelle knew I loved doing hair and make-up. When I was a teen, she would let me trim her hair, paint her toenails, and even arch her eyebrows. I enjoyed that time with her so much.  The later part of her life, she suffered through so many illness, but she always remained positive and fought to be here. I take comfort in the fact that she is no longer suffering, and I know she was welcomed in heaven by my Grandma.

Those are all words that describe Michelle!
She was such a fighter and stayed positive in her many years of battling different illnesses. She found the positive in it all! Blood doesn’t make you family, but she was my family! She treated me like her own niece, and for that I will always be grateful! I will miss you so much!  May we all find comfort in that you’re no longer suffering and in pain.  Ich liebe dich! 

Michelle was my youngest sister.  I have a lot of fond childhood memories of her and myself growing up together through the years.  

She has always loved the Disney Princess movies.  I remember
when she was a little girt and we lived in Germany (Army brats)
and I took her to see her first movie in a theatre.  It was “Cinderella” and she was mesmerized by the movie!  The big screen, the songs the Princess sang, etc.  She loved the popcorn too!

As a little girl I used to watch her at the dinner table when my mom would tell her and my brother that they could not get up from the table until they finished their meal.  One day I caught Michelle and my brother swapping food.  She swapped her ham to him for his green peas.  She didn’t like ham and he didn’t like peas!  They were able to get up because they had FINISHED THEIR PLATES! 

As an adult Michelle loved to organize things.  Drawers, closets, cabinets, etc. This must stem from her many years of working in retail.  Those items on the shelves were lined up like tin soldiers!  

Michelle never had children, however, her cats were her children.  
She loved them dearly.  They kept her company on non-dialysis days and when she would get home from dialysis.  They were definitely, lap cats!

In closing, I would like to say that through all of Michelle’s illnesses 
she always had a smile on her face no matter how bad she may have felt herself.  She always greeted everyone when they walked into a room and when they left wished them a nice day, especially, at the dialysis clinic.  

Michelle started liking Bees this past year and I started making her bee cards to cheer her up.  So, in closing, I know she had a ‘BEE-utiful trip to heaven.  I know our mom has welcomed her with open arms.  We will miss you dearly, however, we know you are at peace now and no longer in pain. So, since I am the oldest of four children and have known you several years longer I can say, “I Love you MORE!”

How do I put into words what my Aunt Michelle meant to me? She was one of the sweetest, kindest people I knew. She was always smiling, always thinking of others, always wanting to do for others. From buying little gifts to take to her fellow dialysis patients and the nurses that cared for her to always giving to her family, she was a precious soul. It was an honor to have her in my life, and share a love of kitty cats with her! She went through so much with her many illnesses over the past 15 years but rarely did she ever let it get her down. She made the best out of everything! I admired how she was always so upbeat and happy. I love her dearly and always will. Aunt Michelle, I miss you so much, but I know you are safe in Mom’s arms up in Heaven and I will see you again some day. 

Michelle was my younger sister. She was a very kind person that always seen the good in everyone. She always had a positive outlook on life. She suffered and endured a lot for the last 15 years. She was a fighter and never gave up on life. She was the sunshine in my life. I will miss her for eternity until we meet again in heaven. My heart is broken! I will love her always and forever! I know that she is with our mother in heaven. May peace be with you!  I Love you my best friend!

Hi Debbie,Heidi and mike, sorry for loss of your sister Michelle. We met in January 1986 when I started attending Hinds community college in Raymond and while waiting for classes in walter gibbes hall. And have kept in touch all of these years. Thank you for your friendship. I remember visiting y’all when making the vacation trip home to Mississippi from Texas to share memories of college days at Hinds community college. Michelle will be truly missed. Debbie,heidi, mike and mr Wilson, take and be strong and keep in touch. Gary Woo
