To my Mississippi family—Mary Ellen and Tommy, Joann and Mike, Carl and Rene, and their children: you all know that my brother, Joe, was my hero from the day I was born. When he chose your mother, Mildred, it was a perfect match in so many ways: he had a wealth of knowledge and skills, and she was a kind, practical, resourceful woman who mentored so many people and helped them to be their best. My family is so sorry for the loss of your mother—May the best memories of her always live in your hearts.

Mary Ellen, Joann and Carl, Newton and I are praying for your sweet families as you go forth in your earthly life without MiMi. Aunt MiMi was a true lady that loved her family and friends. I had MANY enjoyable and educational times with her. So often through the years I have relied on the things ( cooking, sewing and gardening) that she took the time to show me.
Memories are a good thing and she certainly gave us all plenty! Hold them near and dear. Love you all and prayers are said for you.

So sorry to learn of Mildred's passing. Many good memories of the Branson family during our days at St. Marys and all of the visits at her house when I would have sewing done. She loved company and always hated to see her visitors leave. Don't see how she kept up with the neighborhood news so well but she did.

Dear, sweet, honest and sincere Mrs. Branson! What a treasure you and Mrs. Virgie were to me when we first moved back to the neighborhood. You shared so much insight and wisdom, requested or not, but always timely and, albeit later, appreciated. One of Eric’s favorite memories is picking blueberries early in the morning with you. Jordan came home on more than a few occasions after helping you in the yard dumbfounded at your tenacity combined with your age. You were an awesome example in every way for me and the boys. You were very loved by us.
