Nancy Gayle Slaughter, 72, a long-time resident of Pascagoula, Mississippi, and recently of Overland Park, Kansas, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, on June 16, 2023 at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas.
She was born on November 18, 1950 to Andrew Mooney and Bobbie (Joyner) Mooney Fondren in Canton, MS.
In her earlier years, Nancy was employed with Mississippi Press Register, and later she enjoyed volunteering at Jackson County Literacy Council.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Moss Point, Mississippi. Nancy delighted in spending time with family and friends and was a devoted Saints fan.
Nancy is survived by her loving mother, Bobbie (Louis) Fondren, her brothers, Danny (Cheryl) Mooney and Michael Fondren, her sister Suzanne (Don) Arrowood, and numerous nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her father, Andrew Mooney, and her brother, Charles Mooney.
A memorial service will be held on June 28, 2023, at 4:00 p.m., at First Baptist Church Moss Point, 4807 Main St., Moss Point, MS 39563.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
