Mr. Perrin T. White, 88, of Raymond, MS died December 26, 2021 at the Veterans Home in Collins, MS. Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home, 6011 Clinton Blvd., Jackson, MS from 1:30 to 2:30 pm with graveside at 3 pm with burial at Lakewood Cemetery. Dr. Mark Strum will officiate.
Perrin was born September 22, 1933 in Copiah County, MS to his parents, the late William Buford White and Areth Taylor White. He was a veteran, having served with the Mississippi Army National Guard for several years. He was also a member of First Baptist Church of Raymond, MS.
Perrin enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and camping. He worked as a ticket writer for 50 years for Mississippi Livestock Producers Association in Jackson, MS. Throughout his life he was a hard worker and always shared his wisdom, guidance and love to his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Buford and Areth White; his sister, Ruby Russell; and his brothers Melvin White, Billy White and Fred White.
Perrin is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mittie Walters White of Raymond, MS; his daughter, Jennifer White Michael of Oxford, MS; his son, Steven Rothell White of Morton, MS; and his only grandchild, Hannah Grace Knight and her husband, Matthew Knight of Tupelo, MS. He is also survived by his brother, Elton White of Pearl, MS and very dear family friends, Curtis and Jennie Massey of Raymond, MS.
Pallbearers will be Curtis Massey, Dewey Johnson, Winston Magness, Lester Spell, Dewayne Rushing. and Bob Coward. Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. James D. Polk and George Oberhausen.
