
Rhonda K. “Kay” Collier, 76 of Jackson (formerly of Fulton and Clinton), MS went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 16, 2023 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center with family by her side.
Kay was a member of IAHS class of 1964 in Fulton but later transferred and graduated Shannon High School after she and Mike Collier were married January 3, 1964. She worked many years as administrative assistant to the dean at Mississippi College School of Law and later at Wells, Moore, Simmons, Edwards and Wilbanks law firm. She was an avid reader and collector of books.
The loving wife and mother was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Mike Collier of Shannon, her parents John and Margaret M. Moore of Fulton, father and mother-in-law C.A. “Charlie” Collier and Grey Collier of Shannon and her nephew Dusty Boren of Draper, UT.
Mrs. Collier is survived by her sons Barry (Misty) Collier of Jackson and Wes Collier of Southaven; sisters Becky Deakle of Mobile, AL, Rose Loosli (Bruce) of Draper, UT and Melissa Byrd of Fulton; grandchildren Cody Collier of Ridgeland, Casey (Andrew) Rogers of Raymond and Colby Collier of Jackson, great-grandson August Todd Rogers and numerous nieces and nephews.
Private family services will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home (Pavilion) on Clinton Blvd. Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 10am.
Honorary pallbearers are Mrs. Colliers nephews: Willie York, Kory Steele, Craig Collier, Randy Watts, Kenny Collier, Lee Mitchell Collier and Marcus Collier.
Memorials in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
