

Robert Albert Zischke, 88, died July 21, 2011, at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Monday, July 25 at Ascension Lutheran Church. Visitation will precede the funeral at 10 a.m. at the church.
Mr. Zischke was born in LaCrosse, WI, April 30, 1923, son of Albert and Rachel Zischke. He was a tool and die maker by trade, beginning his career with LaCrosse Tool and Die in LaCrosse, WI. He served in the U.S. Army (Army Air Corp) during World War II in Italy and North Africa. He owned tool and die companies in LaCrosse, WI and Jackson, MS and was the manager of furniture manufacturing plants in Tupelo, MS; Liberty and High Point, NC; Taiwan, Korea and Singapore.
Mr. Zischke was an avid outdoorsman and golfer who loved to hunt and fish.
He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Rachel Zischke, sisters Jean Weaver and Dorothy Penegor, first wife Cecelia Earney Zischke and step-daughter Paulette Beaver.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Adele Zischke, Brandon, MS; son Steve Zischke (Debbie), Brandon, MS; daughters Rita Westlie (Todd), Palm Desert, CA; Linda Nusbaum, Minneapolis, MN; stepson Henry Wachholz (Katherine), Columbia, MO and brother Jack Zischke (Josie), Tempe, AZ. He is also survived by grandsons Brian Zischke (Amy), Brandon, MS; Rob Zischke, Brandon, MS; Mark Nusbaum, Minneapolis, MN; Paul Beaver, Jackson, MS; David Wachholz, Chicago, IL; granddaughters Christy Williams, Natchez, MS; Sharon Quick, Glen Ellyn, IL; Susan Wachholz, Schaumberg, IL and eight great-grandchildren.
