Ruth Poss Keyes, 92, passed away Wednesday August 14, 2013 at Hospice Ministries. Services will be 11:00am Saturday August 17, 2013 at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home on High St. in Jackson, preceded by visitation at 10am. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park.

She grew up in Itta Bena, MS where she attended high school and later completed her education at Draughn's Business College in Jackson. She was a longtime executive secretary and Sunday School teacher at Calvary Baptist Church in Jackson. She enjoyed writing notes of encouragement and visiting homebound people where she had been able to touch the lives of many people through her ministry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, L.M. and Dovie Poss. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Vernon L. Keyes of Jackson; brother, Randle Poss of Maben; numerous nieces, and nephews that she loved very much; numerous other family members; and countless friends.
