Mrs. Sue M. Blocker, age 80, of Jackson passed away on December 7, 2014 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Lakewood Funeral Home on Clinton Blvd in Jackson. Funeral Services will follow visitation at 1:00 pm at Lakewood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Sue M. Blocker was born on December 18, 1933 in Taylorsville, MS to the late Ethel and Kattie Royls Henderson. She was a Cosmetologist and was employed at Sue’s Beauty Salon. She was a longtime member of Broadmoor Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for the Youth. Sue loved to make people laugh, exercising, running and walking.
Mrs. Blocker is survived by her husband, Billy H. Blocker; her sons, Jimmy Mathis and James Mathis; her six grandchildren and her sister, Vida Yeager.
