

Sylvia Ann Gore, 82, a resident of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly on March 6, 2021. She was born in Oak Grove, Louisiana and soon lived in the Clinton/Jackson MS, area where she graduated from Clinton High School with the Class of 1957. She was a very dedicated, hard worker, always willing to go the extra mile to improve her skills. She ended her career with Stuart C. Irby Company having served 16 years as Executive Assistant to Stuart M. Irby. She continued to serve Stuart for several years as his personal assistant after her retirement.
Surviving are her daughter, Laurie Gore Reeder, grandson, Jonathan Daniel Reeder, both of South Williamsport, a sister, Deane Allbritton Thomas of Austin, Texas, as well as countless cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Daniel Joseph Gore, her parents William Marvin Allbritton and Hettie Rea Meadows Allbritton, sister, Eloise Furr, and brothers, Ken and Doug Allbritton.
Although she was too unpretentious to want these statements to be written, Sylvia was the epitome of a virtuous woman. She was elegance personified. She was faithful, kind, loyal, and a selfless servant. The doors to her home and her heart were always open. She was a mother, grandmother, mentor, counselor, confidant, and friend. Her generosity stemmed from her great love and compassion for others. She was also known for her great personal and professional integrity, all because her life was grounded in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
