He was born on November 28, 1939 to Wallace Ray Day and Margie Cathorine White Day. W.R. served in both the Air Force and Army in Korea, Japan and Germany, as a Blue Angels mechanic and member of the fire dept among other duties. He returned home in 1964 and began working in the optical business. W.R. loved carpentry and worked as a general contractor for 30+ years until he was forced to stop due to his health. He is preceded in death by his father; brothers, John Jerome Day and Darryel Day.
Mr. Day is survived by his mother; daughters, Lucretia Winter and Samantha Day; brothers, Jerold, Carthell, Garlin, and Delbert Day; sister, Gloria Cunningham; grandchildren, Victoria, Emily, and James Winter and Jeremy and Noah Boyd.
