Adam Reed Parker

Adam Reed Parker, age 23 of Jackson, Tennessee died on September 2, 2013. He was born June 27, 1990 in Memphis, Tennessee to Bill and Andrea Parker. Adam grew up in the Malesus Community, attended Malesus Elementary, and graduated from The Homelife Academy in 2008. Adam was baptized and confirmed at Concordia Lutheran Church in Jackson, Tennessee.

Adams's love and hobby was music, especially playing the guitar. He was a part of many bands through the years. At an early age Adam's first band was The Misunderstood Pirates, which was composed of neighborhood kids. His latest band was The Event Horizon that also included fellow band member and friend Bryn Dudley.

Adam is survived by his parents as well as by his siblings, Meg (17) and Will (14). He is also survived by grandparents: Sarah Parker of Jackson; Bob and Sandra Parker of Sulphur, Louisiana; Merita Upton and the late Charles Upton, Sr. of Jackson. Adam was blessed with a close family of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends that he treasured very much.

Visitation for Adam will be Wednesday, September 4 from 4-8 pm. in the receiving room of George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home-South Chapel. His Memorial Service will be Thursday, September 5 at 1 p.m. in the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be made to The Cumberland Heights Foundation, P.O. Box 90727, Nashville, TN. 37209.
