Allan was born on July 1, 1942 in Baton Rouge, LA to the late Elijah and Eldra Craft Wells. He served his country in the U.S. Navy with 20 years of active service and then another 30 years working for the Navy. Allan loved to play golf and he attended St. Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church in Humboldt.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine "Kay" Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Neeley Wells of Jackson; two sons, Michael Wells (Pamela) of Memphis and Raymond Wells (Sandy) of Jackson; five grandchildren, Sara Green (John), Lindsey Wells, Kelsi Wells, Heather Willis (Alan), and Mason Wells; and six great grandchildren.
A memorial service for Allan will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church with the Rev. Deacon Tommy Rhoads officiating.
