

She was born on September 22, 1972 to John Garner and Janice (Horton) Jones in Jackson, TN. She grew up most of her life in Jackson but also spent a short time in Clearwater, FL in early childhood. She graduated from Jackson Central Merry High School in 1990 and continued her studies in art and photography at Union University and Savannah College of Art and Design.
She very much enjoyed reading books, listening to music, watching movies at home, being outside, and spending time socializing with family and friends.
Amy was a big lover of animals, especially her cats. She cared for and rescued many over the last few decades.
She married Johnny Malone, Jr. on November 1, 2015 and made their home in Jackson.
Amy dealt with her illness by speaking to others in a similar situation be it cancer or chronic pain. She gave joy and comfort and much laughter to every life she touched.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny Malone, Jr.; mother, Janice Jones and step father Glen Jones of Jackson; father, John Garner and step mother Ramona of Lexington; a brother Chris Garner of Germantown; and various uncles, aunts, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family as requested memorials to be directed to the Jackson Animal Care Center or any cancer institution of your choice.
