Anthony Clay Barnes

Funeral services for Anthony Clay Barnes age 13 will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, June 13th from the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons, with Rev. Randy Pool Sr. officiating. Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, June 12th from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Anthony died Wednesday, June 9th from injuries he sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Jackson, Tennessee on March 4, 1997 the son of James Anthony Barnes and Melinda May Sweat. He was a student at Rose Hill Middle School where he completed the seventh grade and had a love for the outdoors and football.

Surviving are his father, James Barnes and step mother, Christie, His mother, Melinda May Sweat, six sisters, Robin Sweat, Patricia Biram, Amber Biram, Jennifer Barnes and Kristen Barnes, four brothers, James Carey, Jr; Peyton Barnes, Aaron Rainey and Dalton Woods. Maternal Grandparents, Larry and Patricia Sweat, and paternal grandparents, Sharron Rushton, James H. and Rita Barnes. He was preceded in death by a brother, James A. Barnes, Jr

Pallbearers serving are James Carey, Jr , Jonathon Evans, Dylan Kelley, Aaron Rainey, Haven Russam, Cameron Sanders, and Samuel Yott, Jr.
