A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 1 p.m., in Brownsville Memorial Gardens, with Sgt. Johnny Jines officiating.
Mr. Payton was a proud Veteren serving in both the National Guard and the Army, and was in the 82nd Airborne.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara J. Payton; three daughters, Linda Jines (Johnny), Wanda Renick (Craig) and Judy Payton; one sister, Jewell Ann Wall; one brother, Richard Payton and five grandchildren, Wesson Renick, Rachel Renick, Jacob Miller, Crissy Miller and Jackson Renick.
Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, February 8th from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m., in the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons.
