

Mr. Carroll Rials age 74 of Jackson,Tn passed from this life on Monday, August 9th,2010 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital following an extended illness. Funeral Services for Mr. Rials will be held on Thursday, August 12th at 1:00 P.M at the George A Smith and Sons North Chapel with Dr. Jim Holmes officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgecrest Cemetery.
Mr. Rials was born to the late Charles Rials, and Lois Harrison, on January 8, 1936 in Medon, Tn.
He served his Country in the Military, and at the age of 17, Carroll began working for what was known as the Gulf Mobile & Ohio Railroad. The GM&O was combined with the Illinois Central Railroad in 1972 to form the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad. Over Forty years he continued to serve, working in the Engineering, Transportation, and Operations Department at both the Northern and Southern Districts, gaining many lifelong friends.
Mr. Rials is survived by his loving wife of 21 years (Winnie), 2 sons Beau Rials of Bradenton, Fla and Brent Rials of Meridian, Ms. 1 Step Daughter Melissa Ann Dwyer of Memphis,2 Step Sons Jere Cox Jr. of Henderson, and Jim Cox of Jackson. 1 sister Betty London of Jacksonville, Fl., 1 Niece, 11 Grand-Children, and 3 Great Grandchildren.
Those who will be serving as Honorary Pallbearers are J.B. Chandler, Dr. William Luckman, Jerry Replogle, Charles Bell, William Duggan, Tom Goodwine and Dexter Johnson.
Visitation for Mr. Rials will be held on Wednesday August 11, 2010 at the George A. Smith And Sons North Chapel from 5:00 Pm - 8:00 Pm
