He was born on April 6, 1929 in Ripley, TN to the Federick Augusta Halfacre and Alcie Green Weaver Halfacre. After retirement from TVA in 1988 he farmed, fished, and hunted. He basked in the attention and love of his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Seeley Halfacre and his son, Bruce Stockton Halfacre.
He is survived by his children, Judy Page (Charles), Steve Halfacre (Susan), Vickey Shires, Pamela Bearden (Charlie), and John Halfacre (Kathey); fourteen grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren, and ten great great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Highland Memorial Gardens with Gabriel Mudd officiating. The services will be livestreamed from our facebook page at facebook.com/georgeasmithandsons.
