Emmitt New was born on May 11, 1934 in Silerton, TN. to the late John R. and Annis Swindle New. A committal service will be conducted on Thursday August 27, 2020 at 1:30 pm at the TN State Veteran's Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads.
Emmitt was a car mechanic and an airplane motor inspector during his working years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working in his yard, and visiting family. He enjoyed putting his top of the morning posts on Facebook and talking with family and friends on there as well.
Other than his parents Mr. New is preceded in death by; one sister, two brothers as well as one son and one stepson.
He is survived by his wife Sherri New of 50 years, 2 sisters Mary Lipford, Wanda Prescott and husband, 2 brothers; Denver New and wife, Everett New, sons; Emmitt (Wayne) New and wife, Jerry New and wife, Edwin New of Texas and 2 step daughters; Christine Kesterson and husband and Melissa New Uhrick both of Indiana. Emmitt has 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
