Genevieve Langdon Roberg

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church at 4 p.m., with a visitation for friends and family beginning at 3 p.m.

Mrs. Roberg was born to George and Katharine Langdon of Plymouth, CT on March 30, 1922. She earned a Master's degree in Education and was a 2nd grade teacher at the Prospect Street School of Terryville, CT. She was a member of the Eastern Stars and a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Jackson, TN.

Other than her parents, she predeceased by her husband of 25 years, John Arthur Roberg; her grandson, Ben Allen and her brother, George Whitney Langdon.

She is survived by her daughter, Katharine (John) Allen; two grandsons, John Nicholas (Melanie) Allen and Joshua David (Celia) Allen; and four great-grandchildren, Aspen Grace Allen, Lilly Katharine Allen, Anniston Judith Allen, and Mattie Keith Allen, all of Jackson, TN. She is also survived by her sister, Betty (Roy) Clair of Plymouth, CT.

The family sends special thanks to Helen Moore, Mrs. Roberg's long time caretaker and friend.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the choir of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
