Helen E. Eastman

Funeral service for Helen Eastman, age 90, will be held at the North Chapel of George A. Smith & Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Andy Barlow officiating.

Mrs. Eastman died December 20 at Maplewood Health Care Center. She was born June 14, 1921 in Hocking County, Ohio, daughter of the late William and Hazel Barron. She lived most of her adult life in Flint, Michigan and Springfield, Missouri, moving to Jackson in 2006 to be near her daughter. While in Jackson, she attended Evangelical Community Church. Mrs. Eastman was preceded in death by husband Harold H. Eastman, eldest daughter Claudia Arnold, son-in-law Bruce Arnold and grandson Bruce Arnold II. She leaves two daughters, Cynthia Tang and husband Jordan of Jackson, TN; Christine Torsillieri and husband Dean of Flemington, NJ; ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, December 28 at 10:00 a.m., with the funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. in the North Chapel of George A. Smith & Sons, located at 2812 North Highland Avenue in Jackson, TN.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Maplewood, Hospice of West Tennessee, Dr. Robert Vegors of the Jackson Clinic, and the precious residents of the eighth floor of St. Mary Manor.
