David was born on April 23, 1959 to the late James Prather and Katie Yvonne Holland Evans. He was a handyman and was skilled in carpentry and painting.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister of Lisa Evans Coffman.
He is survived by his brother and sisters, Vickie Evans Haynes (Birdie) of Jackson, Christopher Ray Evans (Liz) of Jackson, and Charlotte Evans Concialdi of Medon; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
The family will have a private memorial service.
