He was born on April 23, 1961 in Jackson, TN to the late James Fletcher and Mary Magdalene Scott Lindsey. Ricky was a member of Parkview Baptist Church and worked for the United Parcel Service (UPS) for thirty years. He enjoyed traveling especially going to Gatlinburg and Myrtle Beach.
Ricky was well loved by many, but his love was his beloved wife, Linda. He often referred to the two of them as two peas in a pod.
Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Lindsey.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda McBroom Lindsey of Jackson; son, James Rickie Lindsey, Jr. of Jackson; sisters, Bobbie Ballard (Eddie) of Jackson, Janet Lindsey of Jackson, and Ann Michie (Rick) of Three Way; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November17, 2016 at 11 a.m. at George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel with Bro. Eddie Ballard officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, November 16, 2016 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
