Jan Amelia Walker

Funeral services for Jan Walker, age 61 of Denmark, will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with Bro. Bill Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.

Jan passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Forest Cove Manor Nursing Home in Jackson.

She was born on August 14, 1955 in Madison County, TN to the late William and Gladys Robison Walker. She graduated from North Side High School and earned a BS in Animal Science from the University of Tennessee at Martin. She worked at Proctor and Gamble and was a board member of the Credit Union there. She was a charter member of Grace Bible Fellowship where she attended and served faithfully. She loved singing and reading her bible. Jan loved her farm at Denmark and loved her animals.

Jan was a very spiritual and giving person who was always willing to help other people. She loved her family, especially her great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Nicky Walker; and her beloved uncle, William Lee “Unk” Robison.

She is survived by her sister, Shelia Wilson of Jackson; Nieces and Nephews, Tammy Yates of Jackson, William Walker (Tammie) of Gulfport, MS, Matt Wilson (Melissa) of Franklin, TN, and Joe Walker (Stacy) of Jackson; great nieces and nephews, Easton Walker, Hannah Walker, Nikki Walker, Katelynn Walker, CeCe Yates, Kaylee Yates, Briley Walker, Emma Walker, and Mason Walker; and cousins, Peggy Mileham (Roger) of Jackson and Joe Rhodes (Marrie) of Texas.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 from 12-2 p.m. at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with services following at 2 p.m.
