Mr. Jerry Spellings, 66 of Jackson passed away on Monday, July 8 2013. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday July 10, 2013 in the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with burial to follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery.
Mr. Spellings was born to his birth parents Paul E. and Marguarette Spellings Patterson on February 14, 1947, and raised by his Maternal Grandparents Marvin, and Flora Gray Spellings. He retired as a Master Sergeant from the Army National Guard after 26 years of service, and was a member of South Jackson Church of Christ.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Phyllis R. Spellings, 1 Daughter; Keri Lynn Powell (Jason) of Hot Springs, AR, 1 Son; Randy Spellings (Ainsley) of Memphis, 2 Sisters; Virginia Cagle (Raymond), Donna “Tootie” Kline (Ron), 1 Brother; Sammie Spellings, and 4 grandchildren; Judson, Ammie, Callahan, and Trace.
Mr. Spellings was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Paul “Butch” Spellings, and Mike Spellings.
A Visitation for Mr. Spellings will be held on Wednesday July 10, 2013 from 9:30 am until the time of the service at 10:30 in the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons.
