He was born on March 29, 1958 in Madison County, TN to the late James Long and the late Barbara Wheeler Haskins, who passed away last year.
He is survived by his two children, Jacqueline Long of Jackson, TN and Paul Long of Martin, TN; grandson, Cayson Long of Jackson; brothers, Jeff Long (Iris) and Fred Long (Renee) all of Jackson; a sister, Linda Steinhice (Charlie) of Chattanooga, TN; Uncle, Roy Wheeler (Doris) of Christiana, TN; and several nephews.
The family will receive friends today, Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 10:30 - 12:30 p.m. at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Browns Church Cemetery.
