Lucille Donnell Cullen

Lucille was born June 22, 1929 in Ponca City, OK to the late William Alvie Donnel, and Gertrude Nachbor Donnell. She graduated from Central High School in McMinnville TN, and Peabody College in Nashville TN.

She worked as the Librarian at Pope Elementary School until her retirement, and was a long time member of First Baptist Church, Jackson TN.

Lucille loved reading, needlework, and traveling with her husband and friends. In her later years she enjoyed playing solitaire and solving puzzles.

Lucille was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Bob Cullen whom she married in 1951. They were together for a wonderful 65 years till his death in 2016.

Lucille is survived by two daughters, Kay Cooke (Steve) of Jackson TN, and Anne Hair (Victor) of Loudon TN; three Granddaughters, Jennifer Craig, Sarah Shankle (Chad) both of Jackson TN, and Bethany Hair of Knoxville TN. One Grandson, Ben Hair (Jennifer) of Huntsville AL and four great grandchildren, Madeline and Hayden Craig, Harrison and Graham Shankle.

There will be a private graveside service at Ridgecrest Cemetery with Douglas Renfro officiating. The family is grateful for the caregivers a Home Instead and for Gail Hamilton who became a dear friend.
