
Mrs. Henley was born on November 3, 1923 in Bemis, TN to the late Bill and Ella Groves Tims. She was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, William Howard Henley; a son, William Larry Henry; and a brother, Jack Tims.
She is survived by her children, Carolyn Marie Weeks of Blue Goose, Brenda G. Georgen (Ralph) of Kuttawa, KY, Phyllis Elaine Schuler (Daniel) of Nashville, TN, Howard Wesley Henley (Polly Carter) of Jackson, TN, and James A. “Buddy” Cox (Helen) of Blue Goose; her grandchildren, Edward Georgen of Kuttawa, KY, Rose Henley Venable of Jackson, TN, Brian Henley of Jackson, TN, Jonathan Schuler of Nashville, TN and Victoria Schuler of Nashville, TN; great grandchildren, Cody L. Venable, Nathaniel E. Georgen, Gabriella Muncy, Kade Henley, Jacob Henley, and Britney Henley; siblings, Peggy Tims and Mattie Tims Allen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, November 2, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at George A. Smith and Sons South Chapel.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Lexington with burial to follow in Rushing Cemetery in Jackson.
