Mary Catherine Ada

Mrs. Mary Catherine Ada, 77 of Jackson passed away on August 16, 2016. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday August 19, 2016 at Meridian Baptist Church with Dr. John Enoch and Bro. Rick Burton officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery.

Mary Catherine was born on September 6, 1938 to the late Ralph and Etta Marie Magness. She worked for many years as the office manager at The Woman’s Clinic and later Co- Owned and operated Ada Air Conditioning with her husband Wayne. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Bemis, and presently a member of Meridian Baptist Church.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter Ashley Allen, sisters; Barbara Lancaster, Johnnie Etta Magness and one brother Ed Magness.

She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Wayne Ada, 2 Daughters, Jennifer Allen McBride (David) of Medon and Catherine Ada Newsom (Billy) of Madison, MS, 2 Sons Todd Allen of Jackson and Kevin Allen (Bridget) of Pinson, one sister Shirley Autry of Union City, TN, grandchildren Hayley McAdams, Karrah Allen, Mason McBride, Grant Newsom, Eric Newsom, Abbey Allen, one great grandchild, Landon McAdams, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends whom she loved dearly.

Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday August 18, 2016 at Meridian Baptist Church from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
