Mary Snyder Marcom

Born Mary Agnes Snyder on August 17, 1940, in Omaha, Nebraska, she graduated from St. Thomas High School and Draughon’s Business College in Memphis. Mary met her husband of 57 years, Harvey, while working at the IC Railroad and they had two children together, Greg and Scott. Mary was a stay at home mother taking good care of their two sons. Once they were older, she started volunteer work at St. Francis Hospital and later became a sales associate at Brodnax Jewelers in Hickory Ridge Mall, a job that she absolutely loved. Mary and Harvey were long time members of the Church of the Holy Spirt Catholic Church where she was active in the Schola Choir.

She was preceded in death by her parents Dale and Dorthy Snyder, her husband Harvey C. Marcom, Jr., and her sister Jane Smiltnieks Kennon.

Mary is survived by her sisters Judy Shinault (Ron) and Marty Terrell (Mike), her two sons Greg Marcom and Scott Marcom (Lisa) both of Germantown, and four grandchildren Griffin, Abbie, Sarah, and Allison Fairley (Mack), all of whom she loved dearly.

The family would like to especially thank the staff of Harbor Chase of Germantown Assisted Living and Compassus Hospice for their loving care and compassion, Mary loved you all.

A memorial mass will be held at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 2300 Hickory Crest Drive, on Monday, May 13, visitation will begin at 10am and Mass will start at 11am.
