She was born on May 16, 1934 in Jackson to the late Edwin and Nellie Dale Schefold Alderson. She was a homemaker, a member of the Madison Baptist Church and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Post 1848.
Mrs. Pentecost is survived by a daughter, Lee Anne (Calvin) Doyle of Jackson; her grandchildren, Andy Honen, Kelli Glenn, Daniel Doyle and Matthew Doyle; three great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pentecost was preceded in death by her first husband, Rufus Honen; second husband, Franklin Pentecost; son, James Honen; two brothers, Tommy and Ed Alderson.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, December, 19, 2011 and the funeral service at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2011, all held at George A. Smith and Sons South Chapel. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.
