Matt was born on December 5, 2002 in New Orleans, LA to Jim and Heather Hill. Matt was an avid gamer and enjoyed all things related to video games. In keeping with his deep love for animals, he was a volunteer at the Jackson Animal Care Center. Matt had just begun a new job at Wal-Mart in South Jackson where he was already making friends and impressing management with his natural ability to make people feel special.
Matt was preceded in death by his grandfather, Mac Macdonald; and great grandfather, Gerald "Jerry" Ashcraft.
He is survived by his parents, Jim and Heather Hill of Medon; his siblings, Nicholas Hill, Breanna (Scott) Bowman, Anthony Hill and Sophia Hill; grandparents, Robert and Linda Hallay and Toni Macdonald; great grandmother, Ely Ashcraft.
A Celebration of Life service for Matt will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. Jacob Chamberlin, pastor of Fellowship Bible Church South Campus will officiate the service.
