Born on November 28, 1943, to Alton and Eula McKinnie, Naomi lived a life rooted in kindness, devotion, and simple joys. She enjoyed going on trips to the beach, and treasured every moment spent with her family.
For 41 years, Naomi worked as an administrative assistant at Dental Associates, where she was known for her dedication, warmth, and steady presence. Her coworkers and the patients she served over the decades remember her as someone who always had a smile and a gentle spirit.
Naomi had the best smile — one that could light up any room and make everyone around her feel welcomed and loved. Her joy was quiet but bright, steady and sincere, and she carried it with her everywhere she went.
Naomi is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Pyles; her parents, Alton and Eula McKinnie; her brother, E.W. McKinnie; her sister, Becky Collins; and her precious grandson, Cooper Jase Pyles.
She is survived by her two sons who were her world: Don and his wife Lynette, and Lee and his wife Mary; her brother Dennis McKinnie; and her grandchildren, Zach Pyles, Ally Webb and husband Owen, Mary-Paige Pyles, Chase Hart, and Olivia Hart. She also leaves behind her lifelong best friend, Sue Phillips. Each of them carries a part of her heart and her legacy.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.
“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” — Psalm 73:26
May her light continue to shine through the love she poured into her family and all who were blessed to know her.
