Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 10 a.m., in the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home with Bro. John Farrow officiating. Interment will follow with military honors in Ridgecrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers to serve will be B.J. Burks, Gary Winters, Jr., Drew Ferguson, Garrett Ferguson, Mark D'Anca, Joey Burks, Bill Taylor, and David Taylor

Ray went to be with the Lord on December 18, 2013 following a brief illness.

He was a navy veteran and worked for many years for MS Carriers and retired from SWIFT. He loved spending time on the golf course with his brother-in-law, Hal Burks, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Johnnie Ruth (Burks) Lockwood of Mercer, TN; two sons, Mark (Buddy) Ferguson and Joe Ferguson, both of Mercer, TN; one daughter, Jamie Nodolf of Wisconsin; one stepdaughter, Johnnie (Sissy) Winters; three adopted children, thirteen grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters.

Visitation with the family will be held from 6-8 p.m. today, Friday, December 20, 2013 at the funeral home.
