

She was born January 31, 1939 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Cherry and Faber Reid. In 1963, she married Robert H. Scanlon in Colorado Springs, Colorado. After the birth of their two daughters, the couple moved to Queensland, Australia and resided there until returning to Missouri where they lived until “retiring” to the Pacific Northwest. As well as being a loving housewife, mother and grandmother, Sally enjoyed selling her paintings worldwide.
Inspired by her avid interest in genealogy, she and her daughter, Amy visited Denmark, Tennessee and fell in love with the area. In 2017, the two of them embarked on a new adventure moving to Mercer, Tennessee where they established a gift shop. Sally always enjoyed making new friends wherever she went and kept in contact with those from early childhood.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob and is survived by her sister, Faber (Roger) Eckblolm of Newhall, California, cousin Ann Wyrrick also of California, daughters Amy Scanlon of Mercer, Tennessee and Anna (John) Sylvester of Oroville, Washington, and beloved grandchildren, Adeline, Isaac and Eliza Sylvester of Oroville, Washington.
As per her request, simple graveside services will be held in the Denmark Presbyterian Cemetery at 1:00 on August 10, 2021.
