

Funeral services for Sarah Marie Pardue age 72 will be held at 4:00 pm Thursday April 28, 2016 in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dan Camp and Rev. Jeff Rudy officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday from 2:00 pm until the service time in the Disciple Hall of First United Methodist Church.
Better known as Marie, she was born in Jackson, Tennessee on April 25, 1944 the daughter of the late Alton Maurice Henderson and Sarah Ethel Stone Henderson who survives. A graduate of Lambuth University, she retired as a Jackson Madison County school teacher, having taught at Lincoln Elementary and Parkview Montessori Magnet School. Her love for education continued as she later volunteered at Parkview Montessori Magnet School where her daughter taught and granddaughter attended. She also held AMS Montessori credentials. She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church and an avid supporter of the YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly in Black Mountain, North Carolina with 26 years of volunteer service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Frank Pardue on January 4, 2015 and other than her mother she is survived by a daughter, Paige Ryan of Jackson, a granddaughter, Sarah-Kate Ryan and two brothers, William Henderson of Jasper, FL and Frank Henderson of Crump, TN.
