

Mr. Mitchell was born on October 28, 1959 in Tacoma, WA and passed away on January 1, 2011. He graduated from South Side High School in 1977 where he was active in sports. In his youth he was in the Boys Scouts. He also played baseball on the Madison Dixie All Star team, which he was honored to be a part of. He was a avid fisherman who loved fishing on the TN river with his father and sons. Stan was an outstanding artist and performed original wood burning and specialized carving. He loved to sing karaoke and was always a favorite to those who heard him. Stan was a plant manager at M&M Enterprise, a family owned business until it was sold. He then accepted a position with International Flooring that allowed him to travel across the country.
Stan was a Christian by faith. He was also much beloved by his two sons, family, and a host of friends. His gentleness, kindness to everyone and his fun loving spirit will be greatly missed.
Mr. Mitchell is survived by his sons, Corey Brian Mitchell of Jackson and Cody Lynn Mitchell (Ada) of Los Angeles, CA; a stepson, Ean Hardin of Oakland, TN; his parents, Roy Neal and Delinda Miller Mitchell of Jackson; a sister, Renee Mitchell Parker (Joe) of Pinson, TN; a brother, Mike Mitchell (Debra) of Memphis, TN; his first wife and mother of his children, Teresa Gowan Robertson of Houston, TX and his second wife, Paula Mitchell of Oakland, TN.
Family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until service at 7:30 pm at the South Chapel.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of you choice.
