Virginia Graham Alexander

Virginia Graham Alexander, age 78 of Jackson, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018.

She was born on March 28, 1939 in Madison County, TN to the late Joseph Albert Graham, Sr. and Willie Mae Laster Graham. She was married to James T. Alexander on May 25, 1957 and they were married for 60 years at her death. James and Virginia were members of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Virginia devoted her life to the care of her family, especially her son, Jonathan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her husband, James T. Alexander of Jackson; Son, Jonathan Alexander of Jackson; daughters, Suzanne Alexander Vaughn (Victor) of Hendersonville and Carol Alexander (Troy Martin) of Munford; and one sister, Imogene Graham Price of Knoxville.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 1 p.m. at George A. Smith and Sons South Chapel with Bro. Jerry Welch officiating. Burial will follow in East Laurel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Friday evening, January 12, 2018 at George A. Smith and Sons South Chapel.

The family requests that any memorial contributions made in Virginia’s memory be directed to the Brain Injury Foundation of Tennessee.
