

Funeral Services for Miss Byrnes Butler will be conducted at 11am July 20, 2016 at the Bemis Methodist Church with Rev. John Hurst, Ginger Hurst, and Kippy Miller officiating. Private interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis, TN. Miss Butler passed away on July 16, 2016.
Miss Butler was born in Bemis, TN, December 2, 1921, daughter of the late Frederick Charles and "Jeppie" Butler.
She received her education in the Jackson City Schools and Union University.
Her love of people and her outgoing personality made her well suited for the job of Personnel Manager at the Bemis Cotton Mill, a position she held for forty-six years.
A talented athlete, she won many honors in Tennis and Golf as well as numerous other sporting events.
The possessor of a trained voice, having studied under three well known teachers she, for many years, gave generously of her talent to both church and secular activities.
Survivors include a sister, Jane Weiland of Nashville, a niece Cynthia Kirkpatrick and husband Louis of Nashville, a nephew, Ray Harness and wife Susan of Nashville, a nephew, Frederick Harness of Jackson Hole, Wyoming and six great-nieces and nephews. She also leaves two special, long time, friends and benefactors, Ray Butts III, and Alice Butts Bryson.
Visitation with the Butler Family will be on Wednesday July 20, 2016 from 9am until 11am at Bemis Methodist Church.
Miss Butler loved her family, her many friends and her Lord.
