

Wanda was born February 9, 1928 in Covington, TN to the late William Clyde McDow and Martha Ray McDow. She attended Byars Hall High School and graduated cum laude from Lambuth College with a degree in Music. It was there that she met Jack Randolph May, the love of her life. They married in 1950, and raised three daughters.
Wanda lived a life of service, commitment and dedication to her family, her church and her musical endeavors. She held many leadership positions combining her talents and loves at Concordia Lutheran Church and the Jackson Symphony, where she was honored as a Lifetime Honorary Board Member. Wanda delighted friends and family with her superior baking skills and her love of entertaining.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, and her two brothers, W C McDow and Edward Ray (Pete) McDow.
She is survived by three daughters, Jackie Miller (Richard), Anita Sharis (Al) and Sandy Siebert (Rusty), five grandchildren, Wanda Sharis, Farah Sharis, Sandy Sharis, Ryan Winston Siebert and Chase Tyler Siebert, and numerous much-loved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 30 at 1pm followed by the funeral at 2pm, at George A Smith & Sons North Chapel. Graveside service will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers to serve will be Ryan Winston Siebert, Chase Tyler Siebert, William McDow, David Burke, Perry Mullins and Josh Collins.
Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Miller, Al Sharis and Rusty Siebert.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Concordia Lutheran Church and the Jackson Symphony would be appreciated.
