Gail, as most knew her, was born, lived, and passed away in Jacksonville, Florida. Her caring and positive attitude shone through in everything she did. She graduated from the formerly named Robert E. Lee (now Riverside) High School, attended Florida State College, and was a member of the University of North Florida’s charter graduating class of 1974 with a bachelor’s degree in education.
She was a much-beloved kindergarten and first-grade teacher at Atlantic Beach Elementary School for 31 years and was a long-time member of First Baptist Church Jacksonville. She enjoyed her many pets, good mystery stories, tending to her yard, and The Beatles, having seen them in concert in her hometown in 1964.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Daphine Candamio; brother Larry Price; and brother George Price.
She is survived by her daughter, Robin (Timothy) Rogers Bajkiewicz of Mechanicsville, Virginia; sister, Elizabeth McArthur of Jacksonville; daughter’s father, Clifford G. Rogers of Jacksonville; and loving family members.
Visitation is at Hardage - Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home and Cemetery in Jacksonville on November 14, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. with a memorial service and interment to follow. Friends and family are encouraged to wear bright colors, which Gail loved. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Gail’s name to the Jacksonville Humane Society.
