Aleksandr Glavnik Born: August 26, 1934Died: July 18, 2015 Aleksandr Glavnik (80), went home to be with the Lord on July 18, 2015. Aleksandr was born on August 26, 1934 in Ukraine and moved to the United States in 1990. He lived a life of devotion to God, family and church and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Trained as a mechanical engineer, he enjoyed new technology, was able to fix anything and loved fishing. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Vera, son Anatoliy (Vera) and their children Dmitry and Irina and Irina’s son Anthony, son Vitaliy (Valentina) and their children Alex and Tim, daughter Larisa (Vladimir) and their children Lena, Luda (Ben) and Vicki, daughter Dina (Leonid) and their children Andrew and Angela, son Daniel, two brothers Dmitry (Tatyana) and Vladimir (Nadya), and many nieces and nephews.A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Viewing will be at 10:00am with service to follow at 10:30am at First Baptist Church, (Hobson Auditorium) 124 West Ashley Street, Jacksonville, FL 32202.
