Alexander Howard Evans

March 16, 1964 - April 17, 2012

Alex Evans, 48, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2012 with his mother at his side in Jacksonville, Florida. A memorial service was held April 21 at San Jose Catholic Church.

Alex was born on March 16, 1964 in Jacksonville, Fla., to Ana Maria and Rupert Francis Evans. He loved to play the guitar and music brought him the greatest joy throughout his life. Alex also enjoyed watching movies and sports -- and always looked for ways to find laughter. He had a big heart and looked for the best in everyone.

Alex was beloved by many, from his family to his many dear friends to even the kind waitresses who loved to joke with him every morning during daily breakfast outings with his mother.

He is survived by his mother Ana Maria, his sister Teri, as well as his uncles, aunts and cousins in Florida and in Argentina. They all loved him deeply.

A special place is forever etched in our hearts for dear Alex. He will always be missed, but let's take comfort that he is no longer in pain and that his smile is shining a light on us from heaven.
