On July 24, 2025, the world lost a radiant soul whose laughter, kindness, and creativity lit up every room she entered. Born and raised on a small farm in Pennsylvania, Alice was the eldest of four siblings, a role she embraced with pride and nurturing strength. Her parents, George and Doris, instilled in her the values of hard work, compassion, and curiosity—traits she carried throughout her life.
Right after high school, she moved to Washington D.C. to begin a career with the federal government. It was there, among the city’s monuments and bustling life, that she met her future husband—on shore leave and captivated not only by the sights, but by the spirited young woman who showed them to him.
Life for Alice was never quiet—and never ordinary. She later worked at a local newspaper and devoted countless hours to volunteer work that brought joy and comfort to others. Whether clowning to lift spirits or helping children learn to read, she believed deeply in the power of human connection.
She is survived by her loving husband, her cherished children, grandchildren, and her balae. Her legacy lives in their hearts and memories, especially the moments spent reading stories, sharing lasagna she made with love, telling jokes and eating hot dogs with her balae, and savoring her favorite scoops of pistachio gelato.
She sang in contests with joy and boldness, once performed as a nun in The Sound of Music, and could often be found making someone smile—whether through a song, a joke, or simply her presence. She was a woman who wore many hats, often quite literally as a clown, and wore them all with grace.
She leaves behind not only a trail of laughter and love but the quiet strength of a woman who gave more than she took and made even ordinary days feel magical.
Let the hills be alive with the sound of her music, always.
Ciao, Bella!
