Frenchy as everyone called him became a Master Mechanic at a Chevrolet Dealership in Jacksonville which led him to becoming an owner of his small business of 40+ years Frenchy’s Truck and Transmission. He became a race car driver and mechanic and building drag racing cars. One of his favorite hobbies was working on race cars from a Ford Galaxy 500 (that was Marlene’s) to big block Chevy’s, Scat Pack Dodge Hemi’s to his own Mustang II. He was known as a mechanic that could listen to a car and tell what was wrong with the car and make the race car run faster. He won numerous trophies and championships in the IHRA and NHRA circuits.
He was an Outdoor Sportsman of Hunting and Fishing and enjoyed being a member of various dog hunting clubs in Florida. The Flatwoods Hunting Club his favorite. This was his second hobby and one that he truly enjoyed, and he taught his kids skills of Hunting and Fishing. His one goal was to outlast this terrible disease and enjoy one more hunting season…..He will, along with Terry and our Mama and all his hunting buddies that have previously passed!!
Frenchy accomplished all his dreams and touched so many people’s lives. He will be greatly missed by all.
