

John was born in Raleigh, North Carolina to Patricia and Andrew Luke on April 28, 1957. He graduated from Englewood High School in 1975. John worked at Crown Products, in Jacksonville, for 43 years.
John loved his family and friends and was happy to be free to travel and visit during these last years of retirement. He faithfully rooted for the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Tampa Bay Rays and watched their progress intently. John enjoyed going to Daytona for many years and attending the NASCAR races held there.
John is survived by his sons, Andrew Jason and James Christopher and granddaughter, Makenzie Addison Luke. His siblings include Kim Luke Lewis (Bruce) of Kennebunk, Maine and James Edwin Luke (Cathy) of Hamlet, North Carolina. John’s nieces and nephews include Ruth Lewis, Joseph Isaac, Joshua Lewis, Gregory Luke, and Kayla Connor.
A memorial service will be held at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home located at 940 Cesery Blvd., in Jacksonville on Sunday, October 1st at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association (www.lung.org).
