Though breast cancer ended the mortal life of Angela Lee Bowden Murray after a 4 year valiant struggle, she is more alive today than ever. On November 25 she was welcomed into heaven by the Savior whom she loved and served as she heard him clearly say “Well done thou good and faithful servant….enter thou into the joy of the Lord.”
Angie was a precious daughter born to Walter Thomas and Margaret Graydon Bowden July 28, 1972 in Jacksonville. In her 40 short years, lived entirely in Jacksonville, she impacted so many people with her love for the Lord, courage and determination and her commitment to helping others. She graduated from Trinity Christian Academy, Florida State College of Jacksonville and Jacksonville University. In every institution was an honor student. She began her teaching career at Whitehouse Elementary School in 1990 where she completed her teaching career just a week before she died. She was elected “Teacher of the Year” at Whitehouse in 2003 by her peers. From the time that she was saved at the First Baptist Church of Jacksonville as a young child, she was an active part of the preschool ministry, the children’s ministry and the youth ministries. All who knew her loved her. Though we are all rejoicing in her home going, her release from pain and suffering and the reuniting of her with all her friends and loved ones who preceded her in death, there is a giant void in our lives left by her passing.
Angie is survived by her loving husband of 13 years, Mark; daughter Kaylee (9) and Connor and Christian 5 year old twin sons. In addition, she is survived by he parents Walt and Maggie Bowden and her paternal grandmother Annie Bowden; brother , Wally Bowden (jenny); parents –in-law Pam and Rudy Murray; sister –in-law Amy Miller (Troy) and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by maternal grandparents Walter Lee and Margaret Jewell Graydon; paternal grandfather RT Bowden and brother – in-law Ryan Murray.
