Anna Kircik, 98, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2010, at her residence at the Regent’s Park Nursing Home. Anna, the fifth of 11 children, was born in Chicago, Illinois, to John and Anna (Babiar) Soltis on December 2, 1912. Four brothers and five sisters have preceded her in death. Anna lived for 25 years in Spring Hill, Florida. She has lived in Jacksonville Florida for 13 years. She loved to be around people and enjoyed conversation; she maintained written correspondence with family and friends, and remembered everyone’s birthday and anniversary. She was preceded in death by her husband, James. They had been married 66 years. She is survived by her sister, Loraine Ladtkow (Robert) of Tyler, Texas; her son Willis and his wife Merrilee (Wronski) of Jacksonville, Florida; 2 grandchildren, Jeffrey Willis Kircik and his wife Lisa (Flanagan) of Charlotte, North Carolina, Suzanne Marie (Lewis) and husband Scott of Jacksonville, Florida; and four great-grandchildren, Jenna and Annalise Kircik of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Evan and Sean Lewis of Jacksonville, Florida. Anna’s family wishes to give special thanks to Regents Park Nursing Home, and all of the wonderful staff who treated her with love and respect during the five and a half years she lived there. We want to include the people who work in the dining room, at the front desk, in maintenance and housekeeping and all of the people who have been a part of her care. The kindness, compassion and reassurances that they were available to help in any way possible made the last weeks of her life easier to get through for her family. Their visits to her with hugs and kisses touched our hearts. We also wish to thank all the staff of Hospice who contributed to her care, and kept a close monitor on her, especially Ann Wilson. Memorialization will be by cremation with interment in Grace Memorial Gardens, Hudson, Florida, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, Florida, 32257. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin, 11801 San Jose Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32223. www.hgmandarin.com (904) 288-0025
