Arthur James Cleveland was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on January 28, 1945. In 1965, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Throughout his military tenure, he garnered multiple commendations and awards, including the Meritorious Service Medal, AF Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, among others. Following twenty years of service in the USAF, he retired and established his residence in Jacksonville, Florida. Arthur is survived by two daughters, Sonya Cleveland and Lynda Reneé Cleveland, one granddaughter, Caitlyn Thomas, two sisters, Dianne Cleveland Sharp and Sandra Cleveland, and a brother, Bobby Cleveland. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be directed to the Wounded Warriors Project in his honor.
