Barbara “Barb” Smith, 76, passed away suddenly on March 7, 2016. Barb was born in Jacksonville, FL on October 24, 1939 to William and Lois Babb. Barb has been employed by Wal-Mart, or as she called it, “Wal-Mark” for the past 20 years in the Toy Department. She loved her family most of all. Her other passions included bowling, shopping, crafting and caring for animals. Barb was a fun and wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of over 40 years, Milford Smith. She is survived by her daughter, Kathryn and son-in-law, Keith; sister, Pat Richards and brother-in-law, Lovelle; and her five wonderful grandchildren; Aaron, Kate, Ashley, Victoria, and Matthew, along with her two nieces and two nephews. A Celebration of Barb’s Life will be held from 4:00pm-6:00pm on Saturday, March 12th in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin.
